In today’s world if you want to sell anything you need a website. So I’ve gone and gotten myself a website. (If you’ve been following along, you know this.) I am trying to make it look professional and cool, but there is always work to do. I finally have it looking like I didn’t make it during the age of Geocities in my mother’s basement. The question is always what to put on a site.
I want to sell people on my writing, and on me. I have to convince people I have something to say. I want it to be slightly interactive. If you head over (www.amandanicoletrisdale.com) you will find a lovely welcome video by yours truly. I figure I’ll fix it later. Also, I have an excerpt from the first book. I’ve got family trees for the whole Zeidrich Family. And I am working on a form for feedback. Currently it is not working perfectly, but it has been a while since I’ve used html.
So, everything is on the website. Now time to get the website out there. I guess I could pay for an ad on Google and Yahoo!, but I don’t think I need that just yet. According to my internal web counter, two whole people visited yesterday. This makes me feel kinda pathetic. At least agents won’t see the internal counter. Obviously, it also means I haven’t gotten my friends to go take a look. (Hint, hint, friends.) The good news is since a lot of people haven’t found it, I have time to tweak things. Head on over to the new site (same old address) and let me know what you think of the site. Like it? Hate it? Can’t get the video to work? (Which seems to be a problem for some computers without the right plug-in installed.) Try using the form and tell me if it works for you putting the form in to an email.
Don’t forget to vote in the ongoing poll about the blog. Voting locations are still open.
